Ant's brief review on The Red Solstice game from the gaming weekend ...

Over the quiet weekend, this old school gamer ant played The Red Solstice game that was free until 1:00 PM PST today through/via Steam. Your curious insect played it for a total of about 4/four hours in both single player (the last three days) and multiplayer (today; almost made it alive with other human players even as a crappy newbie player). It wasn't an easy game since there were lots of stuff to learn, but it was fun. Ant got stuck with level 2/two because of its required mapping device feature to find rare weapon to take down the aliens' tunnel system. Anyways, the game was like Alien Swarm, ALIENS, Alien Syndrome, etc. but with more features like squad control, upgrades, story/plot, etc. It also ran well on the old 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 PC with its ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB of VRAM) and 6 GB of RAM.
